Connecting Stripe

Link Stripe to unlock payments across donations, sales, and auctions.

1

Why you need to connect Stripe

Stripe is what processes payments in eventmate, so you'll need to connect it before you can use any feature that collects money — Donations, On-Site Sales, Live Auction, and Silent Auction.

Even if you already have access to these features through your subscription plan or as a purchased add-on, they stay locked until your Stripe account is connected.

2

Getting to the Stripe integration

Click your account name in the bottom-left corner, then click Account to open your settings. From there:

  • Subscription users: Go to the Billing tab and scroll to the Stripe Integration section.
  • Event Starter users: You won't have a Billing tab — instead, scroll to the Stripe Integration section within the General tab.

Then click Manage Stripe Account to begin.

3

Connecting your account

Clicking Manage Stripe Account opens Stripe, where you'll be asked for your Stripe email. This is the important part: enter the email that has access to your organization's Stripe account. If you enter an email that isn't linked to an existing account, Stripe will instead walk you through creating a new Express account.

So if your organization already has a Stripe account, be sure to use that email to connect it. If you don't have one yet, no problem — Stripe makes it quick and easy to set up an Express account on the spot.

4

Good to know

Once a Stripe account is connected, it can't be unlinked, so double-check you're using the right email before connecting. You can always tell whether you're connected by checking the Status shown in the Stripe Integration section.
